The Slow Knife is a card-based roleplaying game by Jack Harrison. Inspired by revenge stories like The Count of Monte Cristo and rules-lite games like For the Queen,[1] it tells a story about a revenge plot that unfolds over the course of many years.

You'll establish a promising young soul whose life is ruined by a handful of grasping scoundrels, then you'll tell the decades-long story of the victim's overdue and inevitable vengeance. You'll tell this story from the perspective of the villains, with the protagonist - The Knife - moving in the shadows or behind disguises.

Friends at the Table played The Slow Knife during the Patreon-exclusive mini-campaign Eyes of a Killer.
