Avar is chief of security for the Church of the Resin Heart and serves as Gur Sevraq's bodyguard.
A former Kesh soldier, Avar still wears a military uniform with the stel's insignia removed. When first introduced, Austin states, "I'm imagining them played by Asia Kate Dillion, with the shaved head, that whole look." They project confidence and pragmatism.
They live in the Church of the Resin Heart's residential compound in a cozy apartment with their family, Ryrira and M'reb.
