Location
Velas is at the continent's northwest tip. To its west lies the island nation of Ordenna, and to its south the Mark of the Erasure and Rosemerrow.
History

Back in the old days, it was a seaside metropolis all its own. Now, it is a humble city, still fillled with the abandoned tenements of the long-dead but growing all the same.”
Once a bustling pre-Erasure city, Velas is now a smaller fishing town whose outskirts are yet surrounded by the ruins of what once was. The Creed of Samothes holds much sway in Velas, which serves as the church's regional base in northwest Hieron.Template:Spoiler
Points of interest
The city is split into three districts: Garden, Fish, and Sun, with walls and gates between each. Farm fields lie at the edge of the city.

The richest district, home to Velas's wealthiest citizens.
