Laurel is the Elect of the Divine Motion, a member of GLORY, and a clone of the Apostolisian Eidolon Cassander.

Appearance & Personality

As they were made to resemble the previous Cassander, they are similar in both appearance and superficial personality. They have weary eyes and a thin and wiry frame, and their skintone is mediterranean. Their hair is like Yu Narukami's from Persona (short, with long bangs), greenish-black in color.

They are intuitive, attentive and authoritative, and love it when a plan comes together.

History and Involvement

Laurel is a member of GLORY and a previous classmate of Vermillion Blue. Prior to receiving their elect name, went by “Cassander”, the name of the Eilidon they were cloned from, much like the other members of the project. [1] Laurel is the mission commander for GLORY’s attack on High Altar, coordinating the sneak attack on the Millennium Break agents there, breaking into the Stray Dog and nearly killing Millie. Laurel uses the Demiurgos to great effect against the Millennium Break squad, culminating in them taking out the majority of their troop units and badly wounding Cas'alear Rizah after Brown deploys Asepsis. Laurel is ultimately forced to retreat by Phrygian and the other Millennium Break agents, but as Motion shows them her vision for the future, the agents, alongside Laurel, realize just how far Motion is beyond them as they vanish into the Perennial Wave.

During Operation Shackled Sun, Motion and Laurel are charged with energy of the True Divine, with the Demiurgos already infused with many of the pieces of the Exemplar captured by the Pact. They cause wanton destruction in the space above Partizan until they are defeated by Broun’s use of Asepsis, breaking down the energy and the body of Motion herself. At that time Millie is connected with the True Divine, and feels as Laurel dies.[2]

Mech

Laurel pilots the Demiurgos or Demiurge. It is a Pneuma model which has been modified using cutting edge research and materials, including recovered parts of the supposed “exemplar,” Branched materials, stabilized Perennial Wave particles, and, of course, Motion’s own divine power. The Demiurgos is seen both creating and destroying things using the Perennial Wave, both keeping their allies in action and being used offensively on their foes. [3]
