Waxwing is an active superhero in Bluff City. She is described as "a little smarmy, shit-talker" who hangs back and assesses the situation before acting. She has an attitude of superiority, and does not want to ever signal to others that she does not "have it together".
Her secret identity is rich. She owns the Saltwater Pier, possibly choosing to purchase it as that was where she and her future wife Goldfinch went on their first date.
She met Goldfinch at age 19 at an out-of-town wrestling company tryout after she had dropped out of community college (although the two would not team up for another year).
After Goldfinch returned to Blough City, Waxwing continued to fight crime in Bluff City and mentored younger superheros (most notably Grouse) as a “sort of coping mechanism”.
Her favourite drinks is a 'Ward 8' (rye whiskey with lemon juice, orange juice, and grenadine - she does not have the optional maraschino cherry).
Abilities
Waxwing is described as being similar in abilities to Batman or Starman.
She can fly, but also uses gadgets.
