Gale Green was a superhero in Bluff City under the name of the superhero Goldfinch. She first appeared in the opening of The Grapplers Down at Promenade Arena.

Born in Blough City, she left as a young girl and was adopted by the de Lanza family and was given the new name of Dorothy de Lanza.

At some point when she was a child, Hector Hu painted a portrait of her ('Gale Green on a Bench'). Although much is unknown about this portrait, it does have a supernatural quality to it and is thought to be of Blough City origin.

While in Bluff City began a career as a wrestler, where she met her future wife and superhero partner, Waxwing. Early versions of her superhero costume included a bird mask and fake wings.

After working as a superhero in Bluff City for many years, she returned to her home city of Blough City to help the people there by trying to give Blough City the freedom that Bluff City had through art. This move also separated her from Waxwing, and event which was painful for both women.

After returning to Blough City, Gale worked as a filmmaker and radio producer whose work often pushed the boundaries of Blough City social mores. While planning the Citywide Film Festival, she set up a temporary office in the Courtyard church rectory. Her office contained scripts, typewriter, an inbox full of letters, and a photo of Waxwing and herself together in happier times. At the time she is seen in Messy Business, she is 43 years old, and is described as being the “mid-century image of perfection”, with blonde hair with blue eyes.

After the events of Messy Business, she become more of a patron of the arts. Like many of the citizens of Blough city, she also suffered memory loss after this, forgetting many of the specifics of her life prior to that time (including her relationship with Waxwing).

When seen in Extracurricular: Out Of Time, she is a figure of rumour in Blough City, hosting large parties at her estate. Although she was approached by the Whitakers to be part of the Tunnel Project, she declined, believing it to be a real estate venture and therefore something she had little interest in.

Home in Blough City

She lives in a massive cliff-side estate located to the north of Blough City, where she hosts parties.

The house has a large driveway and many rooms including a big entry hall, a master closest, a music room (which includes a piano), a dining room, a parlor room for receiving guests, a library, and a private study (which is nicely furnished, with lots of dark wood).

Her staff includes multiple doormen and valets.
