Dahlia is the Apokine and one of the claimant Princepts (the Glorious Princept) of the Divine Principality. The Peaceful Princept, Cynosure Kesh, is Stel Kesh's rival Princept.
Dahlia is a beloved leader who has proven themselves in court and on the battlefield in the ongoing war against the Branched far from the moon of Partizan. At the same time, they wage war against Stel Kesh and promise to bring to light misdeeds perpetrated by the Principality against the Apostolosian people[1] -- the replacement of a historical Apokine with an imposter.[2]
They pilot the Divine Commitment, which is a Stel Columnar divine normally piloted by two people that takes the form of an inky metal blackness.[3]

It is obliquely revealed in the final narration of PARTIZAN that Dahlia is currently wielding Integrity in order to pilot Commitment "alone".
History
Dahlia was born the heir to the throne of Kesh. During their childhood they were taken hostage by The Farmer but rescued by the then-Apokine, who raised them from that time.
In the year of their majority, they attended the Summer Passage of Arms as a competitor and won six events, sweeping the Passage and gaining the title “The Six-Fold Champion.”[1]
After they came of age they declared their claim to both the status of Princept and of Apokine, causing military conflict between Kesh and Apostolos after Kesh's counterclaim of Cynosure.[3]
