Timea Asche is a Thread-Runner in the Hypha fleet. She is tasked with releasing the Strand into space to prompt its guiding properties. She is a young Hypha with large brown spots.
Timea is very young for someone with this job, but very good at what she does. Her understanding of and experience with the Strand is beyond that of the average member of the Hypha. She was very sheltered growing up and has not had a lot of contact with outside cultures—she has been focused on ships for most of her life. She has a distinct interest in space and is always very eager to get back into space after landing.
Timea's first job was to recover the dead body of the previous Thread-Runner.
The Ashen and Ashen Strand are, in some part, named after her.
