Blough City Businesses/Locations[edit | edit source]

Blough City Boardwalk[edit | edit source]

The Blough City Boardwalk is "an endless walkway of dead wood". It has a strict midnight curfew. Like Bluff City, it is a tourism-focused area, with amusement piers, pizzerias, movie houses, gambling halls, and tourist shops which have been built from converted residential homes.

Countinghouse[edit | edit source]

Countinghouse is the financial district deep in the heart of Blough City. Tall office buildings wrap around city blocks arranged in concentric circles. At the center, a rotunda, hiding a statue.

It was the focus of the Holiday Parade that briefly took over Blough during Messy Business. Giant balloons of strange geometric figures floated down Countinghouse's avenues as festive music played. Hundreds of citizens sipped warm drinks and watched in awed merriment.

Lounge[edit | edit source]

Lounge is a semi-dive bar in Countinghouse. It operates 24/7. One staff member is Romy Gride.

It "looks like someone’s unfinished basement" with a pool table and booths with red vinyl padding with stained glass between them that say the word 'Lounge' in stained glass.

Lounge has a big display of movie monster masks in the window, which are good quality but are faded and falling apart. As you enter, there is a poster that says "whispers and words only" (by "words" they mean hand-written notes, similar to the operation of CD-BAR).

The Diner[edit | edit source]

The Diner is a recurring restaurant location within Blough City, with entrances and facades across the city. There is a rumor that there is always at least one Diner in the county outside Blough City. All entrances lead to the same place.

The Park Zoo[edit | edit source]

The Park Zoo is located on the site of a former Ostrich farm in Blough City. Past its glory days, it has fallen somewhat into disrepair and has become the home of The Gloam. The existence of this supernatural creature may explain why the zoo often feels "off" to visitors, and has very few staff.
