The Gilded Menagerie is a casino owned by the Veranda family.

It is themed like an open-air zoo, with jungle murals and golden gates that are supposed to be cages but are built into the walls. All of the wings of the casino are named after places animals are from (The Serengeti, The Sahara Terrace, The Polynesian Level).

A combination of animal sounds, vaguely colonial music, “tribal” drums, and “what safari people would listen to” playing over the speakers.

The Menagerie has a sky bridge surrounded by an aquarium that connects to The Black Colossus.

It’s $15 to park for the day on a holiday weekend, normally it’s $12.
