Sonny Veranda is a member of the Veranda crime family.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
At the time of his first appearance, he is around 25-27 years old and looks similar to Nice Guy Eddie. By the time of his appearance in "When Justice Is Done", he is older and schlubby, with big hair and a nice suit.
History and Involvement[edit | edit source]
Although he was born into the Veranda family, Sonny had a hard time fitting with them and eventually broke off from his family to start his own business: running underground fights as the proprietor of the Splits, a bowling alley in Bluff City with an attached bar and grill.
Sonny plans a heist with his mentor and father figure, Finnegan Hands, to scam both the Whitaker and Veranda families. The plan involves encouraging members of the families to place bets on a boxing match between amateur Bluff City boxer, Doyle MacKaye, and the Whittaker prize fighter, Achilles Apollo; his family's bird, Rupert, is used as collateral.
After his arrest, he reconciles with his family and is brought back into the fold. Over the years he works up through the ranks to become a hitman.
