Mistral are bird people who live to the north and northeast of Hieron, in the Isles of Flight. Their culture relies on reputation and is historically grouped into castes based on categories of labor. Currently, lesser castes seem to be the Clipped and the Vouchless.

Some Mistral are trying to reach the moons of Hieron to escape the Heat and the Dark.

Their main god is Severea.
