The New Earth Hegemony, also known as the Earth Cult[note 1] to some in the Divine Fleet, is a militant group active in the Twilight Mirage's area of the Milky Way. They are directly responsible for the attack that killed Gumption. Due to the significance of Earth in their belief system, the Blue Path, they moved the planet from its previous location in the Sol system to the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Nomenclature

Members of the New Earth Hegemony have surnames which come first and are possessive; this reflects the importance they place on belonging to something.
