Dr. Irene Klipsch-Dove is the creator of the first machines that would one day be called Divines. As the chief engineer of a corporation (possibly the Orion Conservation Conglomerate), she was the head of a project to increase efficiency of production on frontier worlds which created Rigour.[1] She is also the designer of the Liberty and Discovery drone navigation systems, which she later repurposed into Liberty and Discovery.[2]
After she realized what Rigour was, she moved to one of its frontier worlds, hiding herself in a bunker to work on creating some type of resistance. She rebuilt Liberty and Discovery and made Righteousness as a weapon against Rigour (building into it both her faith in humanity and her righteousness). Eventually, no longer able to hold Righteousness back, she passes it on to Chital.[3]
She is the author of Strategies for Debating and Outsmarting Sapient Machines.[4]
