The Portcullis System is the dominant form of FTL travel in Divinity, outside of Stel Apostolos. It is a series of stone and metal rings placed near star systems of interest, which open every ten days to allow ships to pass.[1] It was created after the Principality's FTL capabilities were reduced by the Perennial Wave.[2]

Travel through the Portcullis system is uncomfortable, and requires training so that any users are not left ill for several days.[3]
