Sargent Janis Stone (Dione Gabro) was partners with Detective Max Lam but was promoted above him, although the two are still on good terms. Although she excelled at her job, she believed that under Chief Grimes she would never have been promoted higher than Sargent, due to Grimes’ corruption.
Although she is willing to bend the law to get justice, she was unwilling to follow Grimes’ lead. She is unwilling to put up with bullshit and knows how to get under people’s skin, using both these skills to great effect during the events of ‘The Eighty Six’.
After the events of ‘The Eighty Six’, Janis is shown as being made Chief of the BCPD.
She is described as wearing clothes similar to the detectives in ‘The Wire’ (jeans, crop top, black leather jacket).
