The TriCity Classic is a charity car race.
Taking place over an entire day, the drivers complete one lap through all three cities (Bluffington Beach, Blough City, and Bluff City), beginning and ending the race in Bluffington Beach.
Drivers who are lapped are immediately disqualified from the race, with the finishing place taken from the location they have been lapped (eg if they are in 15th place when they are lapped and no cars pass them, they will received a 15th place finish. If they were in 15th place and are passed by two cars, they will receive a 17th place finish, etc).
Drivers can also remove other drivers from the race by causing them to crash. Some drivers may feel incentivized to do this, as such behaviour often provides monetary rewards through merch and other media.
Commentary for the race is provided by Jill and Brobert from their helecopter-esque hoverbooth. The booth was sponsored by Cheddar Cheeseman.
