When the Grand Cormorant stopped in Blackwick at the beginning of Episode 13, Chantilly Scathe gave her spiel a few times, and a number of people got on and off safely. Pickman boarded the train without permission, heading for the engine room. Chantilly left her post to argue with her and ask her to leave. When Pickman tried to intimidate her into revealing what she had "done to" the train, its engine began to rumble in response, and something opened up and connected to her. Chantilly gave Pickman a business card with the train's schedule printed on it, and a sharp dismissal.
Throughout Dead in the Dust, Chantilly was again in town, this time conscripted into the Carnival of Moted Light. Pickman convinced her to kill Dayward YVE and his bodyguards, and vanish their bodies.[2] She later served as ringmaster during the big top performance.[3]
