The Museum of Maritime Oddities started as an attraction on the Bluff City Boardwalk, but fell on some hard times and is now located four blocks away from the Boardwalk next to a Walgreens. They have posted signs all around the neighbourhood directing people to it's new location.
It is in poor repair with most exhibits dating from the pre-80s, although it does have a nice gift shop.
It closes at 10:30pm, but will stay open later for Museum members.
Attractions
The Museum is described as being "like a Ripley’s" and "the saddest P.T Barnemen-est thing you’ve ever seen" with "lots of stuff that’s real but most of it is junk".
- Tie in section to the Creature of the Black Lagoon movie.
- An exhibit on the lochness monster.
- A display about the sand monster (which is real).
- A back “secret room”.
