'''The Sunken Empress, Altapasqua,''' was a ruler of [[Aldomina]] around the time of the [[Panic]]. She planned a grand procession across [[Sangfielle (location)|the heartland]] to bring hope to her people, but disappeared midway through. 

Although scouts were sent out to [[Blackwick|Eastern Folly]] to announce her imminent arrival, the entire procession was never seen again after staying at [[Last Rest]], leading to the ominous naming of both places. However, it is said that sometimes the lights of their pavilion can be seen across the lake.

During [[The Curse of Eastern Folly]], skeleton courtiers imply that the Sunken Empress has continued to hold court under the lake (presumably also as a skeleton), though her subjects are now fractured between the Loyalists and the True Loyalists.
