This article is about the setting. For the season, see Twilight Mirage.

The Twilight Mirage is a synthetic nebula created by the Divine Empyrean, originally to protect the declining Divine Fleet. It connects the people living inside it to the Mesh. Inside the nebula, skies are cast in colors of sunrise and sunset, ranging from soft blues and greys to vibrant oranges and purples. The Mirage laps back and forth like an ocean, so its borders do not remain stable.

Time does not work the same in the Mirage as it does elsewhere: every year inside the Mirage is ten years outside.

The Mirage is the home of the Quire system and the Brink. It borders the Palisade system.

That is, it borders Palisade until a surge of the Perennial Wave trips one of Devotion's Mirage bomb in Palisade's atmosphere. When the Mirage bomb goes off, the Twilight Mirage expands to encompass the entire Palisade system, and Palisade becomes the Quire system's ninth planet.[1]
