Overview

Hard Luck is the first arc of Season Two of Bluff City. It was played in the Fiasco system by Jason Morningstar, using a hack of two Fiasco playsets - Bad Habits by Nick Wedig and Double Down from ukroleplayers.com.[note 1] This is the same system and playset mashup used for the first arc of Season One, A Bowling Alley, A Boxer, and A Bird. The first episode was released on October 29th, 2019, and the last on November 20th, 2019.

At the beginning of Part One, Austin comments that the return to the same playset was inspired part by the fact that the group playing is almost entirely different from that in Bowling Alley (only Jack returns), and that the playset "tells Bluff City stories". He also comments that the playset used is a hack of two playsets, plus some changes as some of the jokes in the playsets are "not good" (although he does not mention the original jokes, he says that they were "a lot different, to the degree that I will not say what it was").
