Authority is a Divine of the Principality. It is the stellar combustor system, in the same way that the Portcullis System is the Divine Space, and as such is distributed throughout the Divine Principality.

It has numerous Elects—presumably one for every stellar combustor in the galaxy—who are cybernetically connected to it. The sole job of each Elect is to act as a failsafe, the "living trigger or living disarmament" for a stellar combustor.[1]

Personality

Authority likes killing. It likes to practice dying, and likely influenced Stargrave Elcessor in this way. When Phrygian connects to it in An Impossible Ideal, they sense that Authority hasn't detonated any of its combustors in a long time, and that it is itching to do so. It is arrogant, confident, and carries itself with an air of utmost superiority. There is something rhythmic about the distributed network of Authority, the way all of its nodes beat together.[1]

History and Involvement

In PALISADE, Phrygian connects to Authority and finds away to actively counter it. They sacrifice themself to do so, taking all of the stellar combustors offline permanently.[1]
