The Gambeson is a small but terrifying hallow model deployed by Stel Kesh.
Gambesons are nearly always piloted by conscripted criminals who have been forced by the Divine Plight to pay off their debt to Kesh through combat.[1]
Appearance & Abilities[edit | edit source]
At about 10 metres tall, the Gambeson is less than half the height of an Altar. It is modeled after an iron maiden but its doors only hinge at the top, and they open to become functioning wings. It is skeletal, with a twisted metalwork face, and its body serves to cage its pilot.
While in flight, the Gambeson can shoot its sharp interior spikes like missiles.[2] The Gambeson ver. Pyre is a variation on the model that is retrofitted for flame weaponry; it carries a flamethrower and a heat line impaler, which can launch a "thin flaming wire with a hook on it, almost like a taser line but mech sized."[3]
Involvement[edit | edit source]
During the fight at the Dim Liturgy monastery on the Isle of the Broken Key, Tenn Alpenglow commands a unit of Gambesons (but does not pilot one himself).[2]
