Cori and Phrygian defend a village from combatants. Thisbe, Brnine, and the Figure meet two Twill people who are attempting to resurrect the Divine Palisade. The resurrection does not go as planned.

The Bilateral Intelligence Service plans to bring Palisade on-cycle. A Bilat spy in Violet Cove gets his allegiances crossed. The Lost Duchess appears, as foretold by the Dim Liturgy. The Authority learns about the Fundament nodes.
