Chet Wise is first seen as a fixer/sheriff on Sage; he has only known Sage since its abandonment by the Diaspora. He is a "haggard old guy" with thinning hair, but wears body armor and has plenty of weapons to deal with the harsh conditions of the planet.

He was a pilot and part of the Kingdom during the Golden War.

After Kobus's retirement, Chet becomes Loyalty's candidate, Capra. He is unusually old for the job.
