The Grand Cormorant Limited

Worst train yet.

Jack

The Grand Cormorant Limited is a train allegedly "shackled" and owned by Ms. Chantilly Scathe. While their relationship is not clear and decidedly unprecedented, there is definitely some sort of connection between the two. When its engine rumbles with emotion, her eyes dilate and someone is able to unleash power that appears to be aligned with Chantilly's interests. But can anyone truly own a train?

Chantilly is, in fact, the train herself. Her motives and desires are yet unknown.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

The Grand Cormorant is very luxe in a time-appropriate way, with a brown and gold color palette. It has a cormorant design built into the curved front of the engine, like a figurehead.

Market Day in Blackwick[edit | edit source]

The Grand Cormorant stopped in Blackwick at the beginning of Episode 13. Chantilly Scathe gave her spiel a few times, and a number of people got on and off safely.

Pickman stopped by the station, and climbed onto the train without permission, heading for the engine room. Chantilly left her post to argue with her and ask her to leave, and seemed to calm the train. When Pickman tried to intimidate her into revealing what she had "done to" the train, its engine began to rumble in response, and something opened up and connected to her. Chantilly gave Pickman a business card with the train's schedule printed on it, and a sharp dismissal.

Around 3 AM, the train left; Blackwick leadership suspected that it had taken the egg sac, but thankfully it had not as the group sent after it were soon distracted.

Itinerary[edit | edit source]

Chantilly Scathe claims to have traveled to all four corners of the heartland on this thing. So far, it has not eaten anyone or notably crashed.

The Grand Cormorant was known to have visited Sapodilla. Pickman has an enchanted train timetable which updates itself with the Cormorant’s schedule each week, but she may not have noticed this.
