Souciance is a deceased, humanoid Divine whose resting place is the Garden of Souciance in the depths of Chimera's Lantern. It lies at the bottom of a deep, translucent lake, holding a sword with folded hands much like a medieval tomb effigy. The surrounding water garden is a living biome, containing plants like water lilies and lotuses (as well as a few trees) and animals like fish and frogs.
Entering the water gives Thisbe, Figure and Cori a moment of clarity in which to decide the truth of their beliefs.
Trivia
- The word souciance was presumably backformed from insouciance, and might mean something like care or concern.
