Stel Columnar is a Stel of the Divine Principality. Stel Columnar is a fence-sitting democracy made up largely of synthetics on the cutting edge of technology, art, politics, and war.
Stel Columnar uses its military unit structure and overall aesthetic to present itself as made up of vanguards of justice who are not as warlike as the other Stels.[1]
Columnar Tabulary[edit | edit source]
Stel Columnar's formation is notable for being relatively bloodless, of the Stels which joined after the formation of the Principality — this event was called the Courting of the Columnar Tabulary. During this time they were granted the divine Commitment as a gift.
As a democracy of synthetics, they once used technology called Perspective Blending to combine viewpoints and reach consensus. This has been abolished, but the tech was eventually appropriated into Perspective Bleeding.
The cyborg Equiaxed began as a minority within the Columnar Tabulary, and after the creation of the Stel have been oppressed and experimented on.
Aesthetics[edit | edit source]
Stel Columnar mechs and ships are described as flashy and toy-like, as if they came right out of packaging. They are meant to make the hypothetical viewer think of them as heroic, whatever the viewer thinks of when thinking of heroic sci-fi machines. Specific comparisons were drawn to the machines in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
