The Twilight Mirage is a nanomachine cloud 'false nebula' within the Milky Way first produced by the Divine Empyrean 300 years prior to the events of the Friends at the Table season of the same name. It serves the dual purpose of concealing the remaining members of the Divine Fleet from outside threats and spreading the mixed-reality digital network known as the Mesh.
Unlike an actual nebula, the Twilight Mirage can be seen from inside, and gives the appearance of a perpetual sunrise or sunset.
