The New Earth Hegemony, also known as the Earth Cult to some in the Divine Fleet, is a militant group active in the Twilight Mirage's area of the Milky Way. They are directly responsible for the attack that killed Gumption. The significance of Earth to their belief system is not fully clear.
Nomenclature
Members of the New Earth Hegemony have surnames which come first and are possessive (e.g. Mother's Story, Morning's Observation); this reflects the importance they place on belonging to something.
