Maritime Lapel is a student at the September Institute. She is part of House Blueworld and makes celebrated Mesh art pieces. She has her "head in the clouds in a real depressed way". She is seen alive at the same time that Mako Trig realizes she died after graduation.
Maritime has dark hair with streaks of grey and white and dark brown eyes that appear world-weary, despite that she's only eighteen or nineteen. She's wearing a pantsuit in the House Blueworld colors.
Ted suggests either Gloria Lake or Victoria Solomon for her costume at the September formal, but she doesn't dress up.
