The bear's head cat is a seasonal fungus-animal native to central Hieron. It was brought into being as a transformation by Fero after his arrival at the Last University during Spring in Hieron.
Description
Bear's head cats are only present during the rainy season, as they go to spore during the dry season.
They partially resemble cats (approximately the size of a lynx) and partially resemble fungi of the genus Hericium, which are edible mushrooms that grow in clusters of long, icicle-like downward spines. "Bear's head" or "Bear's head tooth" are common names for species of Hericium, hence the name of the corresponding fungal cat.
Bear's head cats cannot be domesticated.
