The Barranca is an Apostolosian province on Partizan to the northwest of the Prophet's Sea. The Verglaz Taiga borders it to the east and north, and the Prophet's Path borders it to the south. It is home to military bases and civilian settlements which are situated in the many ravines and crags that make up this area.[1] Two named settlements are Lion's Rest (one of the larger cities)[2] and Rezevi (a small village), both lying along the coast.[3]
The Barranca Loop, an Apostolosian space-launch system, is also situated in the Barranca.[4] The installations of Fort Icebreaker guard its border with Kesh.[2]
Obelle is to the south of the Barranca, between it and the Prophet's Path.
