The Thread of the Mother-Beast was some of the magical thread used by nuns to sew up the eighth, false Mother-Beast leg.
Chine gave the thread to the Broken Quartet as payment to request a specific song during their concert in Episode 34. The violist used it to replace a broken string on their instrument.
