The painting titled Gale Green On A Bench depicts Gale Green as a little girl in her Sunday dress and a barrette in her hair, seated on a bench in front of some trees, in a yard in front of the beach. It was painted by HH (Hector Hu). It is an enormous painting with supernatural properties, causing fear in those who look at the painting. Gale's gaze in the painting is described as “deeply judgemental”, communicating that “there is a right way to be a little girl, and it is the way I am a little girl”.
This painting was sold at an auction organised by the Veranda family, which was interrupted by a heist-turned-superhero/supervillain battle. Waxwing immediately recognized the subject of the painting, her lover Goldfinch as a child.
