Espanarde the Great and Eclectic is a traveling illusionist.

During the investigation of Gregalos's murder, Espanarde was in Velas acting as Kite Master of the High Sun Day celebrations on the North Beach and scheduled to give a performance called The Holy Ascension of the Sun.
Several months later, Espanarde was working in Rosemerrow at a cart in Westshore Fair during another Golden Lance investigation, this one pertaining to Gilbert Lutz's possible death. They provided Blake Bromley with the magic flash paper which they used during their escape from Lutz's apartment at the time of the disturbance.
