Atlantic City Press

From fattwiki

The Atlantic City Press is the main local newspaper for the Bluffington Beach area. It's main physical office is described as a large and imposing square building with black, mirrored windows and large glass doors at the front which must be manually opened. It is three floors, and has a basement level accessible via elevator. Their offices close at 5pm.

When entering, you fare first greeted by a receptionist desk. Behind the reception desk there is a large depiction of the newspaper's slogan, ”you love the news and the news loves you”, as well as a depiction of "a man marrying a newspaper".

Unlike the rest of the Press building, the basement level is very dark as many of the lights do not work. After exiting the elevator, you are greeted with a long wide hallway, with "stacks and stacks" of old newspapers along the same side of the all as the elevator. There are many small archive rooms, as well as offices for some of the less well funded sections of the paper, and some of these are missing doorhandles. Archiving is not a high priority, and many boxes or stacks of newspapers crowd doorways, blocking some off from access entirely. The only place in the basement which can get cellphone reception is by the elevator doors, and even then it can be a little patchy.

Atlantic City Press has some kind of association with Cameron Castle, as his cab company is the one that they call when reporters or clients require a taxi.

Stories Of The Day[edit | edit source]

To compete with the television market, the Atlantic City Press have created a short nightly television program, which summarises the day's news report. It is currently still on air, but has not made any real impact with the public apart from some being annoyed that the newspaper is moving in television.
